Dr. Kartik Ariyur, as head of Purdue’s Autonomous Systems Laboratory, focuses his research on navigation with natural signals, energy management, autonomous path and mission planning, and active security management. His research is motivated by maximizing efficiency and reducing energy costs, as well as improving facility security with minimal human intervention necessary. Dr. Ariyur has published 11 journal articles, presented 33 conference papers, written 2 books, and holds 9 patents. Prior to coming to Purdue, Dr. Ariyur worked at Honeywell Labs, where he worked on a range of problems in guidance, navigation, control, health monitoring, system verification and surveillance.
