Dr. Josh Boyd has been on the faculty at Purdue University for 15 years, where he has won Purdue’s top undergraduate teaching award, and has taught more than 3,000 students about communication and how to be more critical consumers of communication messages. His research has been published in 15 communication journals and cited in The Wall Street Journal. Dr. Boyd is interested in corporate rhetoric, specifically how corporations “speak” and attempt to persuade multiple and overlapping audiences. He has also studied applications of corporate rhetoric from corporate naming practices to the history of oil industry public relations. Dr. Boyd has taught abroad in Italy, Ukraine, Japan, Fiji, and Thailand.
