Dr. Betty Bugusu has over 15 years of experience in food science with a focus on agriculture, technology, and food security. As Managing Director of Purdue University’s International Food Technology Center Dr. Bugusu is leading efforts to increase value addition and market development in developing countries through advances and innovations in food processing. Also, as a research scientist at the Institute of Food Technologists, she authored scientific reports on food policy and oversaw initiatives on the use of nanotechnology in food science.
